This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.

John D. Johnson purchased Dick the Bruiser around 1956 or 57. He bought him from Harold Lassiter on Big Sand Mountain in Alabama. He was a catch dog and one of his all time favorites. Bruiser has no known back ground or pedigree however Johnson made one up to be able to reg. him with NKC.
Bruiser was a respectable 75-85 lb. bulldog. And a great inspiration to the breed. Although Dick the Bruiser was used in Mr. Johnson's breeding program, Mr. Alan Scott also used him in his breeding program, we find that Mr. Alan Scott found his perfect American Bulldog in Ch. Gr. Ch. Scott's Dixieman "Buster" a son of Dick the Bruiser.
