If I understand Jeff correctly, however, I'm not sure he's suggesting that the dogs named on Tito's registration are not his actual parents--I think the question as to purity of bloodline is likely back further in the pedigree, back before DNA confirmation of parentage was possible. DNA will identify whether or not a specific dog is or is not the parent of an individual dog, but it is NOT of much use in determining whether a registered German Shepherd Dog has a Malinois in the bloodline two generations back. The claims that one can identify what breeds make up one's mixed-breed dog via DNA testing are overly optimistic at best, and outright fraudulent at worst. Too often these tests have come back indicating a dog which phenotypically is a textbook example of a purebred whatever allegedly has some breed that's a polar opposite in it's background. My faith in that type of DNA test is equal to my faith in the human race overall...negligible.

I am FOR SURE not saying that his father is a Mal, but anyone that is around that dog that knows anything about Mals can see it.
For ANYONE to try and tell me that they know first hand EVERYTHING that EVERYONE did in the Czech republic is just damn goofy. That includes those that live there. Dog people are dog people the world over.

Seriously? 11 pages and a few days later, ya'll are still debating the validity of a breeding program which features few if any of the tests for breedworthiness (let alone confirmed identity of the breeding partners!) typically performed on all breeding partners used by a responsible German Shepherd breeder?
Will someone please remind me what the difference is between this self-righteous "expert" and most of the rest of the irresponsbile puppy mills cranking out German Shepherds destined to land in kill shelters in this country?
The AKC Registration certificate, however recent (HOW many litters did this dog produce before March 31, 2011 again???) is charming... truly. Shame your credibility is so poor you had to prove your stud dog is FINALLY registered though. How about giving us all a REAL treat, by posting some hip & elbow certifications, microchip certificates... hell, something more than your one buddy's heresay testimony as to the quality of the dogs you're cranking out from mothers not even adults themselves as fast as your (very ugly, BTW) untitled dog can knock them up?
Go ahead. Block me for saying what most of us are thinking.

dog as 'ugly' Shelley.
And you are not one that should be throwing many stones
considering YOU have bred untitled litters too if it comes
right down to it.
Talk all the shit about the poor record keeping and lack of
any type of breeding qualifications that this individual has
practiced/is practicing, but don't make cheap shots as to
the asthetics of his dogs, they are innocent in this.

BUT--whether or not I consider the dogs being bred to be ugly or not is no reflection on whether a breeder is responsible and ethical, if the dogs meet the breed standard. Njenta v Haus Antverpa was one of the flat-out UGLIEST GSD bitches to have ever suckled a puppy, but when bred wisely she produced dogs that were not only aesthetically pleasing to most people, but had excellent work ethic as well. I'd be hard pressed to consider Crok Ehrlenbusch even remotely appealing as far as his looks go, and he's not a dog I'd want to have behind anything I lived with for other reasons, but plenty of knowledgeable working line breeders and owners like him just fine.
darylehret's breeding 'program' and practices give me reason for concern, but whether or not his dogs are 'good looking' doesn't even make the list.
