Keep in mind that Beau is unlikely to be to result of a pairing between two V rated [or championship-pointed] GSDs.  He wouldn't be the first mole-coated GSD I've come across out of the 'lines' propagated specifically for the 'rare' colors they throw, and if he should turn out to be all GSD, he's unlikely to be the last.  While I'm not seeing to-the-standard traits, I'm still not seeing anything that's shouting any other breed in particular.  Entirely possible that papa was a mix of several of the more popular breeds in the vicinity (like GSD/Lab/Pit), in which case the beautiful boy will tilt more strongly toward the GSD with hints of the less prominent genetics here and there.  A big part of the fun with pups with mystery daddies is watching them develop and seeing how many 'false roads' one gets led down by a random marking or idiosyncratic behavior.... Wink Smile

I agree with Hexe and Euro--it is going to be fun to watch him grow up. And Euro we probably will change our minds as he goes through the growing stage until he is grown..................Beau is a rags to riches story--one day he had nothing and now he is on the top of the list on the DB. Only in America LOLShades Smile..................

Hmm....Bee i think you should start a bet/collections on the mix..and than run a DNA test,  winnings to be donated to the rescue of what ever that other breed is...i would put $5.00 on rotty mix...

either way all agreed that he is adorable and one solid looking puppy...i love his facial expressions, you can see what he is thinking...

LF: LOL, you know this theme would be a good staple on the new Rescue Board... the Who's Your Daddy Thread?...Clever ... beats tearing up other people's hockwalkers from the advertisments...! Tongue Smile

Also, I'll throw in the barely used Sherpa, Airline approved, in-cabin travel bag, to the winner!  Airplane
Thumbs Up

I like Shelley's name for the daddy better,... Hoosier Daddy!!!!

He/Beau was the only one with the heavier/thickest ears, most of the others were coming up somewhat when they left!!! We will see, so much fun!!!! LOL, Steph

Reese the mom to Beau, the black and silver, was tied on a chain her whole life. Owned by a gal and confiscated, for animal cruelty.
The other mom Maggie was the stray found under the trailer.

I'll chip in $5.00 to the bet.  I go for lab/pointer mix.    Bee has got a "designer" dog.  Regular Smile

Funny story:
I went to a horse auction this weekend.  Someone had "designer puppies" for sale.  The word "designer" was in big bold letters.  I asked what the cross was.  "border collie/mini aussie/schnauzer"   By the time I left, all of the puppies had been sold.

Fawndallas, I know you are just talking in fun and I get what you are thinking, alright, and Beau is unique enough I think to warrant a WTF is that kind of dog?.... But I got to tell you, I ran my hands over Beaus Mom's back and there was nothing "designer" about starvation!

Yes bee, I was just giving a tease.  He looks to be a beaut no matter what the mixes are.  My heart to his mom, but she is in a good place now, right?

I like the recent photo.
