Very beautiful dog, but I don't understad why he never achieved the "VA" status in Germany. He was V1 in 2004 and V18 in 2005, why is he dropping each year? Is this a conspiracy? I think so!

Any good comments accepted.

Ulk's eyes are BLACK. They couldn't get any darker. I don't understand the eye comment.

As far as his placing in the 2006 BSZS, anyone who knows anything, knows that Herr Scheerer HATES Ghandi and his line. I was there at the BSZS this year and was standing right behind Ulk as Herr Scheerer gave an accounting of all of the top dogs to the head of the SV. When he got to Ulk he did not even look at him and went on the to next dog. How can anyone validate his placing from this judge with such rude actions. Everyone knows that Ulk should have VA'd and DID in 2004, were it not for his Dam's kkl. I know they are thinking of hanging it up for the BSZS for Ulk, but my hope is that Scheerer will be voted OUT and Ulk can get his just due reward.

Ulko is Ulk's sibling but he cannot match Ulk in either aspects of anatomy or breeding! Ulk is far superior and has some good progeny.

But Ulko has also been doing well, so it's better we don't compare high rated dogs to their underdogged siblings.

Color of the eyes play that big of a role in Sieger shows? What is the main difference between Ulk and Ulko? My hat goes off to both dogs. They are both great. I am in the process of getting a Ulko puppy. I am very curious.

Thanks to anyone that might reply.
Cheers!

A VA is not the be all end all of a dog's life.Whether Herr Scheerer likes Ulk or not doesn't matter because many many German breeders & breeders from other parts of Europe do like the dog.I believe Ulk was one of the most used stud dogs in 2005 & this has continued during 2006.It's good that people can see there's more to a dog than the results of one show each year.

Maybe, just maybe..... the color of the eyes were just a tad too light !!! It's a shame !

I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that he is Danish bred, Dux de Cuatro flores is from Spain, You got VAs from Holland, France, Taiwan etc..I just think he does not like the dog as much. To me is a good, whatever happens inside the ring only the judge can analize it better than me.

Not by all judges... But Mr. Scheerer is not fond of him or Ghandi bloodline... and it's a SHAME
Anu
Posted: Tue Aug 15, 2006 04:13 pm
He's consistently being placed lower and lower at LG and OG shows by all judges and they're trying to discourage his placement at the Sieger show! He's the best son of Ghandi but as he's Danish bred, he's not being appreciated!

I had a long conversation with Gabi today.
I know, that she's not the inventor of this story. It was a wrong statement in the Austrian SV magazine in 2004 and I know by now, that she's not the only distributor and that this (wrong) information goes around the world via e-mail. It seems it's only me who haven't got it...till yet.
But I wonder what's people's interest in doing something like that ??
Bine
Posted: Tue Aug 16, 2005 11:15 pm
A "good" friend of mine, Gabi Heller, former owner of Urban Gleisenauer Schloss, sent an e-mail to several people in several countries, that Ulk is missing the P1 - even at the Siegershow Austria 2004. This is NOT true. Ulk is missing an incisor, extracted by a vet and pedigree confirmed.
Thank you Gabi for spreading lies before asking !

Hello David
I was thinking that this would be very hard this year. This was a crazy year for the working males and so to be objective will be very hard. I could not agree with your frustration more.
Still i look forward to what you will say.
Thank you

I am writing my: SIEGER 2004 IMPRESSIONS - I am having some difficulty toning down my frustrations regarding the Working Class, or should I say "trying to be objective and diplomatic about the Working Class."
I can only imagine the frustration and anger of some of the owners, who spent so much time, energy and money, training, preparing, and presenting their excellent males, throughout the Show year, with their teams. Thinking they could reasonably expect a certain reative position in relation to some of the other males, having assessed the results after each Show, only to have their expectations "turned upside down". THIS MUST NEVER BE REPEATED.

I,am from Holland and I just want to say that Ulk is one of the best and " pure " dogs around in the world.
What I mean with pure is that you see at him that he really loves what he is doing and not build up to do it,ofcourse Sabine did a lot of work and credits to here but Ulk loves to show him self.
I saw him several times and he is a true star

I currently have a litter out of this young man and my V Occa vom Kirschental....and I must say, it is one of the nicest litters I have ever had!
Aside from the EXCELLENT structure at just 4 wks old, they are showing outstanding courage, and are quite drivey already....
If they continue to develop as they seem to be heading, I will easily say this Karat's Ulk is one of the best producers currently available...the FULL package as a GSD should be.
I look forward to breeding to him again, in the future.
Wishing K-Ulk and his owner and handler all the best in the future!
And we also thank them for allowing us the opportunity to breed to this fine boy!

It's true solo, he is an excellent dog, possibly one of the best in his class in 2002 when he placed i believe SG-7. My husband and I were able to see him this year when he made one of the best attacks on the Sieger Show. Fortunetly we live in Belgium so it is very easy for me to see him as I did last week in Undenheim shown under Mr. Peter Messler when he placed V-1. Congratulations to him!!!! I would also like to comment on a dog that has so much spirit in the ring...he really is a pleasure to look at!

This male is an excellent dog, my question was a genuine one, I saw this male at the xmas or New year show in Holland, and was very impressed. It was very disappointing not to se him in the Sieger Show, and I am very pleased to know why, and very pleased to know he has got over such awful illness.
If this dog was for sale I would be very interested.

He was in the best ring, somewhere in the middle - good enough for a dog that wasn't shown for the whole season, because he suffered from lyme disease for a couple of months.
But now I'm glad to say, that he's OK !!!!!

One of the best bitework at the this year Sigershow !

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
