I have a granddaughter of Eddy. Greta Von Haus Thomas. I haven't had her hips xrayed. But I have to say she is a fantastic dog. She is a looker. She turns heads where ever she goes. I am training her in Schutzhund. As a puppy she didn't have ball drive. She has a strong prey drive - just not for balls. She is a little over nine months now and I have to say that she is developing a drive. Of course, the national champion at my club isn't impressed with her.

She will never be a National champion in the Schutzhund world - but she will be one day a Sch III, just like her Grand Dad, with alot of work on my part... She is very smart and learns very quickly.

She likes to smell the flowers and is friendly to everyone. But on the field - I believe she will be able to turn it on and play the game...

I believe that Greta has all the traits of a great GSD. If all the offspring from Eddie are like her. Then you cant go wrong for a all around good dog to serve any need you have.....

How are you dogs hips? A lot of Eddy's offspring had bad hips!

I have Eddy's son, from Von Haus Parker's "J" litter March 5, 2003.
Although he was AKC registered with one of the J names, he really goes by Riesling's Whine Clark -- "Riesie". He is plush-coated male with a marvelous temperament. He stayed consistent with his 10-wk old temperament testing & has no discernable prey or ball drive-- he just wants to be loved and smell the flowers. A big sweet boy. He enjoys visiting at nursing homes. He grew up going weekly to a barn that helped disabled children ride horses. He also adores the play ball and anywhere else he can find adoring fans to love on him & to love on them.

He was the world's cutest puppy & pretty darn handsome fellow now..
