Im feeding my girl Royal Canin German Shepherd but it does not get a great rating on this! but my girl is four months old and is in great shape!! (Iv been feeding her with it since she was about ten weeks)  If anyone has used this food let me know what you think!

Wow, I'm shocked to see alot of the "premium" foods fed by alot of better breeders have such poor ratings. I.E.- Royal Canin,  Iams, Pro Plan, Bil-Jac, Eukanuba, etc!  I only saw 2-3 that were actually recommended!  Makes me wonder what we should be feeding our dogs.

try the merrick turducken if it available where you are.

i switched from pedigree to the merrick and found his coat got shinnier and his poops are smaller, less frequent, and more on a regular schedule.

he also has more energy.

I used RC and still do on one of my females, she is doing great on that food I would never had a problem with using that food. I don't care about foodanalysis.com rating, you will find a lot of kibbles out there that I know many people used with great success and have poor ratings. Best example is Martink9formula guess what I never had any one complainting about that food, and most of the dogs turn around 100% on that food. I use Vetschoice holistic formula on my other female, I would say this is the best food I ever got a hold of, when I tried to switch over to Orijen which rates high and a lot of people had good success on it, my female start haveing inconsistant stool and she start scratching more. You need to find the best food that works for your dog. Over the years I lerned that there is no such thing as perfect food, different dogs respond better to different types of food. Good luck.

I agree with snaiper69-in that ,what suits one dog may not suit another. The BEST food is the one that suits your dog, no matter the cost.

A bogus website, looks like nothing more than google to me.  Not very informative just link's to more dogfood.

My dogfood isn't even listed.

I know whats in my dogfood, what it cost's and all the good and bad in feeding it.

A high price and fancy brand name's never impress me.   I can buy dogfood, or I can go to the super market for, I love this (human grade) !

If I can eat hot dog's I can eat anything !!    Anyway the website didn't do anything for me, just another advertisement by google.

My brand does its job and costs less, the dog's eat it and I add to it as I would any brand you could name.  It's never been on a recall list and I've been using it for over twenty year's.

I mix brands together for the puppy's.

50# Sports Trail..........$20.00......27/12

I rate it functional, no frill's, affordable, and the dog's get tired of it just like any other dry dogfood.

The dog's have to eat whats available now, just as it was in the old day's, could be anything.   I don't feed them prime rib on a silver plater.

Very true moons. I had quite few dogs in the past that the only thing they ate was Pedigree food and whatever they could get running around :) all of them lived to an old age. I find most of the top foods to be too much and always fallowing the current trends. If I can I give my dogs table scraps it seems that this is the only food that never fails :)

I just think a GSD can take it, thats part of what the breed is supposed to be good at.

If I wanted to spoon feed a dog I'd own a poodle.

Well.............. maybe not a poodle, but something fluffy and way to delicate to be a GSD.

Imagine what dog's ate 100 years ago.
