Wild Heart.... contact Chris Thompson. His website is http://www.vondersuden.com/index.html He has very nice dogs that can be family companions as well as compete in Schutzhund. I know him personally. He is a NWDA judge and apprentice judge for UScA. He is actively competing with his dogs together with North Beach SCHH Club which just hosted the SE Regionals. He also could give you more info on where to look at to get exactly what you like as not everyone has a website.

Also look at Patricia Baysden at http://baysden.schutzhunddog.com/ .

Thank you Elkoorr I will contact him, that's funny because I was just on here searching and came across Patricia's site! She has a mating coming up in June or July between Betty Vom Haus Baysden and her male Quigley, her stud is stunning! I will be contacting her as well, I am interested in this litter. Yeah the Coastal Carolina Schutzhund site isnt working though, do they still run this club?

I did some did some digging on the "M" litter (pedigree here on the database) and found more info on the dogs in the pedigree and added them to the database. I also fixed wrong info and filled in the right. Like the female Akita Von Lotta mother to Constantine Attila Von Bachhaus is not registered as "Good" with the OFA but "Fair". :/  So it could be an honest mistake that someone put her as "Good" on here or someone did it knowing full well she wasn't. Which is kind of worrying... What I don't really don't like is how there is no info on Shadow Vom Haus Ortiz's mother.  Shadow Vom Haus Ortiz is not OFA either. (I've checked and added OFA info the other dogs that had it) She might be SV like the others, but I have no clue. So I'd pass on that litter for sure. Too many fishy goings on. I got screwed myself on a pup by not looking at the pedigree and going by I was told. I got stuck with a female from what looks like working/pet/show/puppy mill lines. (Yah I got myself a pet for $500, when I could have gotten one for free.) So always ask for at least a 7 gen pedigree before buying any pups.

I have to say I disagree on the kiddie pool. It is easier to move than a wooden whelping box, easier to clean, and if the dam chews it to pieces it is cheap to replace. I used to have a wooden whelping box and I no longer use them because kiddie pools are so much easier all around. Wooden whelping boxes are not all they're cracked up to be. Just my two cents.

I used a tent for my last litter and it worked great .. easy to clean, no leaking through, and the puppies did not tear it up nor did the bitch .. good for another litter or go camping.  The tent is easy to store when not in use.  I have also used a modded kiddie pool .. .. (ie two kiddie pools glued together to form a long oval) for a large bitch and it worked great too.  I have used large whelping boxes as well and they are ok for large litters but a pain to store when not in use.  The tent works great up until around 8 weeks of age after that get them out anyway.

Vom Ron Haus is in NC and has some great dogs mostly Czech as far as I know and I love the dogs this kennel has

I recommend Vom Ron Haus upcoming litters with Body or one of his sons (they are not all shown on the web site so call)

Body Jipo-me is a great dog with a stellar Czech pedigree .. get one of his pups and raise it right and the hips will be fine.

Body's hips are OFA fair but were done at around 3 years of age ( not fast normal at 12 months like SV dogs )

If you want to see what great breeding looks like go to Kreative Kennels web site.  They have great dogs and produce superior puppies at insane high prices.  Worth a look to see what can be done with deep pockets for buying imported dogs and breeding them intelligently.  I will buy a couple of their puppies in the future for those foundation bloodline pedigrees that I need but at $3000 per puppy they are a big gamble since all puppies in a litter are not created equal.  For a must have bloodline you need at least two from a litter to be on the safe side and that is $6000 for two puppies.  I enjoy window shopping at Kreative but I try to buy close to home if I can because I hate shipping dogs..

Is that all it takes? Wow. Finally the secret is unveiled Shades Smile

Good morning. I want to make clear, it doesn't take special 'raising' of a Body pup to have good hips. I've OFA'd fourteen of his progeny and grand progeny and ALL have come back with GOOD hips and Normal elbows, with one grandson with right elbow grade 1. These are from five different females.
Without getting into another long discussion on hip ratings, I'll reiterate, 'fair' is within normal range and 'breed able'.
Incidentally, Body is eight + years old and is absolutely sound and as physically fit, willing, and capable to kick anybody's ass as he was when he was three.
