First and Foremost you need to get off this travelling and get somewhere safe, Many kind offers of places to stay for a while from some of the Guys, Pick one and head for there then you can get your thoughts together, relax and think of your next move when your head is clear, plus your dogs need to stay more settled i feel for the Pups they do not understand what is happening
Maybe if you like it where you end up then you can hopefully get a job and a new start, You have made the move so stay away from PA, good Luck to where you are heading for and Keep Safe

The plan, thus far, is to head farther West, stay West. Those of you who have been on this and other boards long-term know I have never felt completely comfortable on the East coast, especially the northeast coast where the winters are so harsh. If I never see another field with 2' of ice on it I will be fine with that. Old red has 160K hard miles on her. She needs work before I can trust her to go too much farther with the dog trailer. Her rear shocks and tires have had it. Last thing I want is to be stranded on the side of some road with four dogs in a trailer, especially if its hot. AAA will tow the van 100 miles for free. They don't want anything to do with a trailer, especially one full of dogs. The dogs cannot ride together in the van. that would be a hell of a dog fight. I have one crate, collapsed in the back of the van. I meant to tie a few more on top, but I ran out of time when I left. It was 4pm and time to GO.
I have dog food for now. I don't want to collect too much at a time because the box on the front of the trailer leaks in the rain and the van is almost full, barely room for T to lay down when we are on the road, even less if I try to lay down for a couple of hours of shut eye. :-O
The good news is that we are safe where we are right now. Hopefully by winter we will be settling into a more normal routine, wherever we are. One thing for sure, any dogs I have that weren't seasoned road warriors a moneh ago, are now!
Thanks all.

Read my last post on TIG's -Road WArrior...
We need the funds to get her to the job and training so she can get a new start and then go to wherever she wants.
I know we are all in a tight bind right now. But Shelley's is tighter....!!!
Lets help out...
Thanks, Steph

BUT...if most people reading these posts would "donate" at least $25....( thats 1 meal from a normal restaurant or 1 night at a corner bar) to assist Shelley thru this horrible, scarey time....she could get the nessesary financial help that she needs.
Remember;....everyone of us, may need the help of someone in the future.
JMO,
God Bless.

You are too funny Robin. I can make $25 go a long way these days. Ya'll know how much I like that sweet-spicy tunafish that comes in a foil bag. Found it on sale a couple of weeks ago at super Walmart in Richland Station. I bought 1/2 doz packets, a squeeze tube of regular mayo, and some ry-crisp crackers. Added a tomato from a roadside stand. Happy camper. No different than what I eat ring-side at every Sieger show. :-) My hostess treated me to a foot long sub sandwich yesterday, AND a bowl of ice cream WITH caramel sauce. My tummy was so full I thought I had my arm around me dog when I woke up in the middle of the night. It was ME. ALL me. LOL
I bought a big can of beer in WI 3 wks ago. I stuck chewing gum over the pop-top hole, propped it upright in the ice chest, nursed it till last Thursday afternoon. I like flat beer. So does Bijou, turns out. Why else would he have knocked the ice chest over? I was at a club training last Saturday. Somebody gave me a bottle of Beaujolais. (They know me pretty well at that club, ha ha ha)
I'm hoarding it.
I quit smoking completely. Forget the health benefits. Like I could afford a pack of cigars a day? I can feed all 5 dogs for that. We'll worry about the damage to my dental work from gnashing my teeth throughout withdrawals later.
Thanks again all. One thing about this board. We might squawk and squabble now and then, but we are a cohesive group, one big [typically disfunctional] family all bound by one single thread: our love for our truly unique and wonderful breed. The stuff here lately proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
How awesome is THAT?

Anybody got a cork screw? No? Okay. Back into the dog food tubby it goes.
I did NOT eat that pile of steak by myself BTW. But I made a darned good dent in it.
What time is lunch this weekend?
