Betta, I'll be happy to send you a badge in the color of your choice. Just post your wound. It can be infected or not.

I AM A BADASS DOGMAN --I"ve BEEN BITTEN BADGEs,  are not valid without proof!

Very troubling topic, given the nature of the posts are regarding dog bite & kid.

by beetree on 21 August 2012 - 21:08

Seriously, you are troubled? Why? The kid is doing algebra at his girlfriend's house!  Everyone tells me I'm the overly sensitive one...LOL

BeeTree,

You got lucky. An improperly treated dog bite can be fatal. Your own Keith G related his personal experience and showed you pictures of what an infection from a dog bite looks like. You seem more worried about the dog getting in trouble then about the seriousness of the bite itself? What happens when/if this dog decides to bite a toddler? Anyone that has tried to offer intelligent advise, you've claimed they were out to get you, attacked and/or ridiculed them or tried to laugh off the incident.
As long as you keep the PDB clique amused don't worry about infection or the next kid that gets bit :-(

Am I supposed to really respond honestly to your fable, Thomas? I don't think I will, nope, I"m not going to bite.

Whille the dog bite was not amusing, a lot of the thread was. AS A MOTHER,grandmother and pet owner, I applaud you beetree for your decision to protect the dog, and treat your son. The owner of the dog is bee's friend, she. Trusts the friend to address the problem with the dog. As long as we don't see pics of your son foaming at the mouth bee, you did good !Lol

That critter likes like a mole to me.look at it's front feet....like little shovels. Poor thing.

by Dobermannman on 22 August 2012 - 01:08

Thats the whole point Kitkat.  She didn't "treat" her son. She got some half assed "medical" advise on the internet and she just got lucky. Hydrogen perioxide is one of the worse things you can do to a dog bite. Covering a dog bite creates a breeding ground for anaerobic bacteria. If someone is so ignorant to think that dog bite  infections and the likely hood that the dog will bite someone else
is a "fable"? Then there is no sense in continuing this topic . I hope the next kid that gets bit is as lucky as your son. Then again I bet you don't post that when it happens? Pathetic :-(

Thank you kitkat, you get my thread. Since obviously Thomas does not, he should not stress himself by posting to it any more. I mean really, am I that criminal? Please, ONLY send Slamdunc to arrest me, then!
