Hello

The breeder of this pup (van Contra) asked me to write in this theme.
She is angry with that theme...she sold a very good pup on a low price...and ask all people id they wanted to get a really good pup with this extreme temperament lets buy that...that is right id the mother side is not correct on the database...

Amelie,i,m not blaming the breeder of this wee girl and i dont think anyone else on here is.What is being said is that the purchaser in question,is not experienced nor knowleged enough to have taken on this puppy. Its clear that the family is not prepared to put in the work/time acclimatising this puppy into the ways of the family.I,m sure in the right home she will make someone an excellent companion.I wish i could have her but i live in England and it wouldnt be fair to put her through more upheaval.I,m sure cphudson will give her a good foster home and hopefully will be able to find her the home she deserves.Carole S.

Thanks Nodi, I'm not blaming anyone. I just think the purchaser thought she could handle this type of dog, but really her Golden is more her style. Like I said, before she seems to be displaying normal behavior for a 5 month old puppy.

The owner does feel horrible about this choice & knows she can not handle the dog & will not be the best home for her. She is scared to have the puppy remain in her home while she works out the socialization issues with the puppy & her son. She does not want her son to get bitten or hurt.

I have not seen the puppy first hand, but she sounds like she has nice strong temperament & some working drives in her. She would make someone very happy looking for that type of temperament in show line GSD. The purchaser said she is very beautiful, not fearful at all, learns fast, etc..

But the owner is a single working mom & doesn't have the time or experience to handle this puppy properly. I think the owner is doing the right thing, by not just giving the puppy to another novice person with $, & knowing her weakness in handling the puppy.

Why link to this female? It has already been said the dam side submitted here is incorrect.

To me a five mos. old is too young to '"PUT THE NEEDLE TO'' Can't she be rehabed and become a family pet?

The puppy will be placed in another home. I'm hoping to have her placed before I have to take her in.
But if one can't be found then I'll take her in to foster & work with her training + socialization.  I'm meeting the owner next week & the puppy. I have no doubt she'll make a wonderful pet / sport dog in the right home. Owner told me she goes crazy for a ball, fearless, etc.. But I'll test her when she comes to my place, & take some photo's of her.

The owner is willing to get a fraction of her $ back, for the puppy to be placed in the right home.
If anyone here would be interested in her or know of someon feel free to PM. I'll provide you the owner info with the puppy.

Take care
