Very nice boy, presents himself  well in a stack, lovely roomy gait, very good pigment and yes he looks a lot like the dogs we used to see here in Australia 30 years ago.

He sounds like a great dog.

Why do you call him a Czech male?
His father's side of the pedigree is German.
Is the mother a Czech dog?

I refer to him as a Czech dog because that is what he was sold to me as. I was also told that the father is Czech and the mother is West German so this is news to me.
Any other insite would be greatly appreciated.

The father's father is DDR bloodlines (from the former East Germany). The father's mother is all German working lines. No Czech lines at all.

Honestly, when I first lookedf at him, I didn't see much Czech in him, as to what my knowledge is of a Czech dog.   I thought he looked more WG working to me.  I think, some people knowing the Czech lines seem to be in demand lately, are saying dogs are Czech as a selling point.  I think its a Czech craze people are going through.  Don't get me wrong, some people say Czech and they really don't know what they have.  So just as ristakrat believed what they were told, and repeated it, could make someone look like a fool.  So sad this has to happen. Sad Smile

In my opinion, for a 3.5 year old male, I would expect to see alittle more mature appearance. Thats just my opinon.

Thank you for the information.
I coutinue to learn about my dog and this breed all the time. Unfortunitely obtaing info from the breeder is rare and seems sorely innacurate.
This was my first dog and I ate up everything I was told with great enthusiasm. He has been the most incredible dog, I am disappointed I don''t know more about him.
I am hoping for a much better relationship with the next breeder I acquire a dog from.
Thanks all!

Well you being pleased with him is what matters the most, no matter what his pedigree is.  He is a hansome dog and thats great that he's everything you'd hoped for!

The pedigree makes no difference, a good dog is a good dog. He looks very healthy and happy and is everything you wanted....that's all that really matters.

As I was looking through your dog's pedigree, I noticed that my dog is actually related to yours! They are realted through Elliot vom Hambacher Schloßblick. He is about 4 generations back on your boy's pedigree, and about 3 generations back in my girl's pedigree.
