"Why do PDB members not read Latest Posts?"

That is the question from PDB to it's readers...So let me answer it the way I see it...

First of all let me say that I've been a member of PDB for a long time and will continue to use PDB...
But it's not as relevant as other Dog Related Sites...It doesn't give me all the info that I desire on a dog or mating...etc.

One of the top reasons I don't use PBD as much as I used to is because there are too many bugs in the program as I try to use it...

Q Man members continue to PM Admins not being able to enter a dog now.  Members do not read the Latest posts to see why.

As far as the bugs all websites not one out that do not have these.

People who are still interested in the best PDB site out there still come to the PDB to view a dogs pedigree, sell a dog or puppy, looking for a dog to purchase.  The PDB site offers the information to view health testing, background of a dogs pedigree.

People that seem to want to chat now go to facebook or another site out there.

Q Man
What are these other useful GSD site you say give you more info than this one?

by GSDHeritage on 02 November 2024 - 16:11

Did not state there were other useful GSD Pedigree sites in the USA. I just remarked that people now go to Facebook to chat as there are several GSD Facebook sites with German Shepherd Dogs you can join.

Let me chime in here a minute, first helo Suzie, nice to see you here, still advocating for the breed. I m still lurking around here too. I come read here when I find posts that interest me. I got to say, I learned a lot here about the breed, I spent a lot of time learning pedigrees and everything I could suck in about the breed. Even tho I didn't t contribute much meaningful info, I took alot of meaningful knowledge with me from all the people that did have it and shared it. I was here in the best of times to learn. Bob was great for meaningful info as was suzie.
No comparison what you get off of facebook and what was given here. I mean there is so much misinformation posted on Facebook everyday, and you find people with dogs with so many health and temperament problems . I got to say, I got very lucky with the dogs I have, well won t really say lucky, I got educated before I got them. Great health, have had a few dogs go out and become certified police k9.
I find it sad how many people I talk to that are clueless on dogs pedigree, and those are also breeders, clueless of who their dogs are, tell me pedigrees don t matter. That's why alot of dogs have all these issues. Not by any means saying I m this big great breeder or nothing but I do consider myself a person breeding quality dogs that are capable of fulfilling the expectations of what the breed calls for in temperament, conformation and health. They are up for whatever task is asked of them. I m actually quite proud of where I m at with my dogs. I just lost one yesterday, out of my Bullinger Grafental dogs. 13 and a half he was and what a wonderful dog he was. I m far from an expert but I have learned a lot. And I do thank the people here that I learned from. Still got a lot more to learn.
