What are you guys thoughts on this linebreeding: 5-5 VA5(I) Marit vom Wildsteiger Land, 4-5 VA - VICESIEGER Karly von Arminius, 4,3-5 VA1 Ursus von Batu, 2-3 VA 1 Larus von Batu. The pedigree also includes Esko lines and Questo Arminius lines. What are some things to watch out for with this linebreeding or some pluses from this linebreeding?

I'm no expert by any means but I think they will be your pretty blk/reds. Nice show stuff but watch for health issues. Research the lines for longevity in life.

Thanks for that. When you see research the lines for longevity what do you mean? How do I go about doing that?

Ask how long grandparents,g grandparents, aunts/uncles lived and at what age they were still working in good condition. I'd love to see dogs at age 10, still having the drive to get out there. Ask owners about their dogs. They should be more than happy to answer your questions.

Excellent breeding, love the 2 - 3 breedings. It is one of the best.

I think that you late two - three years with that mating. It is absolutely wrong and oldfashion mate. You can do it as a Larus fun but you must now that you can expect a lot of problems. 4,3-5 Ursus is unpopular because linebreeding on Ursus was proven as problematic and with 2-3 you gamble and when gamble you can win a lot but you can loose a lot, too. And it is very hard to analyze roots as you have not got opportunity to look over all litter/litters members. We are all usually see on shows the best filtered unit of litter. And many breeders try to hide no-top dogs. My opinion is that you will find a lot of answer in that no name no-top dogs and then searching breeding targets will be much realistic for you. I am not sure that you will have black/reds like 4pack said. I think that you can catch lot of "whites" color on puppies. Stud dog as producer is excellent only if he have possibility to make better then him and to improve breed in all. larus disappoint me very and I think that he do not deserve to risk 2-3 on him.

I think Larus has been a pretty normal producer. Two times sieger, and the fact that the absolutely best females has been brought to him, from all over the world. I think we could expect more from him. Ursus v. Batu - short parts. Karly Arminius and Marit Wildsteigerland, one of my favourits. Will be elegant, and good movers. But maybe Larus will appeare with his qualities, when he comes as 2nd or 3rd in the pedigree. Good luck anyway, best wishes for you.

Anytime you can get a Wildsteiger dog fom his kennel and I repeat his kennel consider yourself lucky. The same holds true for Erwin Wieser of Farbenspiel Kennels if you can get a puppy consider yourself lucky. They stay locally in Germany. Dont know if Ursus owner Hans still owns him. Larus had dual owners and response from them is 0 inclusive of his handler Nadine.

It is unbelievable that so many uneducated people will express their opinion when asked! Gimme10mins, you must write far more info on the parents for an educated opinion on the breeding. Anyone who will give you their opinion on what you've stated, is an idiot and should be barred from breeding..dogs,cats,people,etc....
