Hello everyone..I've been a lurker for a while, finally decided to stick around. Hubby and I will most likely be looking to add a new GSD to our family sometime this year/early next year, and we're looking at potential litters/pups now. A little background: I've shown and raised dogs for 15 years. I've shown in a little bit of everything from 4-H, to AKC, to UKC, to USDAA, to NADAC. I've trained and handled in Agility, Obedience and Conformation all the years I've shown, and have handled many, many breeds, and had quite a bit of success. We're just starting to delve into Schutzund, and plan on learning as much as possible before the new pup arrives. I've been to quite a few trials, just never been able to become deeply involved in the sport until now. I've also been approved as a 4-H Dog Program leader, which I plan to do once our little one gets a bit older. We previously owned a wonderful German Shepherd, who we had grace our lives for 6 years. He traveled across the country and back with us last year. Sadly, soon after returning to Colorado, he escaped my mother's 6 foot privacy fence, and has been gone ever since. We look, advertised, called, searched...everything we could think of, and no luck. It's a heartbreaking loss, and still hurts. We'll be looking for a dog with which to do Schutzund, Agility, and Obedience. Not sure at this point if it'll be a male or female pup, as we're just starting to look. I came across Puck while browsing, and as I'm still in the process of learning DDR and Czech lines, I'd like some opinions. I'm also open to other suggestions for potential pups. Thanks so much everyone!

Puck is a gorgeous gorgeous dog, with one of the most striking heads out there, and what pups I've seen from him so far have been very nice looking. It is a little early to comment on drives and hips, since his babies are still young, but his bloodlines are great. I have a half sister,(Contessa) and my friend Jill Frost owns Puck's dam, Saskia. I owned Saskia's dam Illa, and she was hands-down the best dog I've known, much less owned. If you want East German and you have the patience to let them mature, (some mature slowly), you'd be hard-pressed to find a prettier stud than Puck. You're welcome to email me with any more questions - Judy Malone www.altostland.com altostland@aol.com

Judy hit the nail right on the head, from what I've heared from my own breeder, Puck is a PHENOMINAL dog, with excellent drives, and would indeed be a wonderful asset to any program. I know his owner, Connie, have talked back and forth with me a few times via email, she seems to be a very nice woman, and her pride of Puck comes across loud and clear. I hope to use Puck myself when my female matures. Good luck, I bet you'll be really happy with a Puck Puppy!

I have bred my female to Puck, and have his progeny right now. I can tell you his puppies from this breeding are very high in drive as well as their prey drive. They are 10 weeks old right now and I am keeping a female. She already bites a puppy sleeve and when she doesn't have a full bit she corrects herself into a full bite. I had bred my female to my male before and never had this much drive as i do with Puck's litter. I have some gorgeous colors as well. You are welcome to check out our website, there's some puppy pictures on the puppy page. Your also welcome to email me for recent pictures so you can see some of the color's he produces. Thank You www.boeselagerkennels.com kelly@boeselagerkennels.com

Beauty and a big head. He is a grandfather at 4. Check the ads here. What is the breeder trying to do here? Will Puck be a great grandpappy at 5-6? What trials has he been in. What kind of work has he done that shows his drive and solid nerves. Let's see some videos of him in a trial or three. Since these dogs mature slower, how do we know how he will turn out, let alone his progengy. A broker who knows Puck told me that Grafental dogs are not for working. They don't have the drives. This person knows a lot more than me about this kennel. D'mann

I can personally say that when I bred my female with DDR lines to my West working/DDR male they didn't have near the drive that this litter with Layla von boeselager as the mother and Puck Vom Grafental as the father. I only saw Puck when I dropped my female off, really haven't seen him work but can tell you alot about the puppies out of my female. Puck has beautiful color and an awesome head. One of my male puppies right now out of Puck looks like he is going to have his color as well as his head.

The breeder is located in Michigan (Spartanville Shepherds)http://www.spartanville.com/intro1.html They buy titled dogs to breed and make money of of them. They dont know how to work or train a dog. Most of these pups are sold as pets!
