How do you answer a person who doesnt know you.  Walks up to you and says.  OMG both those dogs have HD!!!! Get them to a vet.  The two in question have very little slope and no roach.  They are a little two dimesional as show lines can sometimes be.  They always say something silly like all shepherds with sloped backs like that have HD ( keep in mind these two do not have sloped backs)  This x-ray vision keeps happening so I need some way of educating these morons (I mean nice well meaning ) people.  It's funny they are not my dogs but man my hackles go up.. Weird reaction on my part but at least I can admit it.....So sick of everyone thinking ALL GSD have HD grrrrrr.....

same as everyone that says omg you have showlines that means your dog has to be roached, overly long bodied,  and cannot have work ability lol

   Just smile and go on.

I believe those are the same people that say things about "proper training". I heard a comment just yesterday about a 5 ½ week old pup chewing on a shoe. The comment was "hit them with the shoe. They'll never do it again. It worked for me". The only thing I could say was if someone ever did that to my dog they'd be beat!

Just tell them your dogs hips and elbows are certified normal as you are briskly walking away.

O my ...Wacking a 5 week old baby with a shoe.... all I can say is O My...... takes all kinds to make the world go round I guess.  But that said we had a local trainer tell one of my clients that her dog was useless and needed to be beaten with a radiator hose.   She has a chocolate lab, while the dog is definately dizzy all it took was time on the treadmill and focus training.  I guess I am a bad trainer since I didnt employ the rad hose :)  Maybe next time...

my pup who is fear agressive for some reason the trainer insted of having her handler give a small correction to the dog to tell her its not ok to bark and growl at people the trainer slaps the dog. i was like o great this is going to teach the puppy that a person is going to come up and hit her.
