Hi Guys

it's been about 4 months since my last update

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/forum.read?mnr=782323-do-you-reckon-she-is-improving-or-not

i am getting better at stacking and this pick albeit not the best quality was taken this weekend. I am not to worried about her coat,

just her construction. I dont know if i am seing things but her chest looks bigger/deeper and her upper arm has abit more length

she is now 18 months of age.

Her hind angulation is very nice (well angulated, but not extreme), but her shoulder is still too short and steep.  Her chest has filled out nicely.

In previous photos, I though her nose was slightly dished just in front of the eyes (concave profile). That seems to have corrected itself.

Thumbs Up

Thanks for the side by side Lineage

Waleed she sure is maturing into a powerful, strong (wellbuilt) female, like blitzen said moderatly angulated. Pasterns seem close and firm. Your stacking has inproved too...Wink Smile

I Miss Ibrahim. He could have told you lots more.... Keep up the good work.

Khalid.

Um, not sure whether I should be flattered or not for being mistaken for Blitzen... Teeth Smile

Okay, I'm flattered, because I like her...  Wink Smile

Front pasterns on this dog are actually a little TOO steep. I didn't mention it before, as I didn't want to be too negative. Steep pasterns means less shock absorption ability, and can lead to joint damage as the dog ages.

Lineage, only about 1/4 of your photos are loading for me. Are they large files? I think th e problem is with my computer, as I have a slow connection right now.

Aaahh!! Sorry SS

I always get confused between you 2... You are right about the angle of the pasterns that are steep and it becomes hard to absorb shock and will cause early fatigue compared to well angulated pasterns, I meant the Paw is not opened in the front meaning fingers are close and tight... its hard for us foreigners to explain sometimes because of our english and expression ....lol.

Glad to make you smile...

Khalid, you would describe the feet as tight, as opposed to splayed, and the toes are arched. A common fault, espeially with American line GSDs is flat feet, which is the opposite of having nice, arched toes. My male has flat, splayed feet and his pasterns are too long as well, though the angle on them isn't too bad.

Yup... Thanks SS. Clever

Thanks guys. If there ae things about her that is not correct i can surely take it on the chin. So dont hold back, lol.

@ gsd lineage , Thanks for the side by side comparison!

@ khalid azeem where is IBrahim? Has he left pedigreedatabase?

by khalid Azeem on 04 August 2014 - 18:08

No Buddy

He is busy in protests and what not to stop the War in Gaza, Jordan where he lives shares borders with Israel - the rest you can imagine....

Hope he and his family is safe and he is back soon.
