I was looking at some dogs on the site http://www.schaeferhunden.eu and was a little confused, I was hoping somebody on here could help me understand.

In the area where they mention a dogs Koer Rating, they have either nothing which I assume means the dog is not Koered, or it has 1, 2 or a *. What does the "*" asterisk mean? The abbreviations don't mention it.

Thanks in advance for the explanation!

1 = Körklasse 1
2 = Körklasse 2
AK(D) = new Körklasse Germany ( no more 1 and 2 )
AK(DK) = new Körklasse Denmark
* = breed surveyed outside of Germany or Denmark ( this one is a guess, but makes sense to me )

Kind regards

Susie,

Is the new breed survey setup here to stay or is it kind of like the Sieger Show with no placements within the VA group?

Do you know the reason behind the change?

It´s going to stay for now The reason?

A Körklasse2 dog could be

  • a very good looking dog with "vorhanden" in bitework
  • a not good looking dog with "ausgeprägt" bitework

Difficult to see the difference with "KKL2" only...   "Breedworthy" maybe all of them, maybe none...

In reality a good looking dog with a borderline bitework came in KKL1,
a not good looking dog with outstanding working abilities came in KKL2.

Now they only say "yes" or "no", and people have to care more about the written description in the breed report.

Better? Worse? I don´t know. People need to care ( but they should have done this before ).

Thanks Susie! That was my guess too on the *. I just wanted another opinion.

Is the old/ now new 5/5 system part of the Breed Survey?

I´d post a "Körschein" but I´m not able to copy the pdf ( too big).

Anybody able to help?

Here is a relatively new Körschein from my boy that was done in March. It's only page 1 but the server for PDB went down while I was trying to attach the second page. If you need to see that also, just let me know. I have the digital file on my computer. Hope this helps you Susie!
